Our career tracks are designed to help students explore practical, hands-on professions while building foundational skills aligned with employer needs and industry standards.


Electrical & Infrastructure

This track introduces students to careers that support critical infrastructure and essential services.

Focus areas may include:

  • Electrical fundamentals and safety awareness
  • Infrastructure maintenance and repair concepts
  • Tool identification and proper usage
  • Workplace readiness for construction and utility environments

These careers remain in high demand as communities modernize infrastructure and expand energy systems.


HVAC & Industrial Maintenance

Students explore the systems that keep buildings, facilities, and industries operating safely and efficiently.

Focus areas may include:

  • Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning fundamentals
  • Mechanical systems awareness
  • Preventive maintenance concepts
  • Industrial safety practices

This track prepares students for entry into skilled trades and technical maintenance roles.


Construction & Skilled Trades

This pathway introduces students to hands-on building trades that form the backbone of local economies.

Focus areas may include:

  • Construction fundamentals
  • Blueprint reading basics
  • Job site safety and teamwork
  • Exposure to carpentry and general trades

Skilled trades offer clear pathways into apprenticeships and long-term employment.


Healthcare Support Roles

Students gain exposure to non-clinical healthcare careers that support patient care and facility operations.

  • Healthcare workplace expectations
  • Support roles within medical environments
  • Safety, hygiene, and compliance basics
  • Communication and professionalism

These roles are essential, in-demand, and less susceptible to automation.


Technical Maintenance & Robotics Support

This track introduces students to the technical side of modern equipment and automated systems.

Intergenerational Learning & Mentorship

Many of CDA’s career tracks are supported by experienced professionals through the CDA Senior Mentor Corps.

Senior mentors provide real-world context, safety awareness, and professional insight to help students better understand career expectations and responsibilities.

Mentorship enhances — but does not replace — structured instruction and educator oversight.
